Requirements:

• Produce a short promotional video for the recently launched iSci Program.
• Collaborate with storyboarding to ensure key stakeholders are represented.
• Capture, edit and output interviews and secondary footage to the web.
• Perform compositing to correct interview depth-of-field in certain situations.
• Post-process audio to ensure that levels and background noise are optimized.
• Design, produce and integrate titles (intro, bottom third, outro)
• Source and license music.

Requirements:

• Produce, Script, Shoot and Edit four commercials for the different streams of Science
• Recruit actual student talent for participating in the commercial.
• Discuss and collaborate on script with faculty members, coordinate field shots and secondary footage.
• Produce the video for online distribution.

• Implement vector illustrations and create additional visuals from scratch.
• Use digital compositing techniques to animate.
• Time and sync audio tracks to the video footage.

Description:

On June 19th, 2009, Michael G. DeGroote cut the ribbon to officially open three international level research institutes which are pledged to advancing human knowledge in the regeneration of human stem cells, the prevention and cures of infectious disease and the development of solutions to chronic pain.  The Science Media Lab was on hand to document this monumental donation to the University.

Requirements:

• Coordinate with external A/V service provider to tie in with in-house sound
• Liase with event planners to ensure proper line-of-sight without interfereing

• Acquire and assemble all digital assets (including photos, audio, models and illustrations).
• Use digital compositing techniques to animate 2D images as if they were 3D videos.
