  • Each week a new lecture-release video was used to introduce students to their topic as an ice-breaker. A funny motif was used in most situations to tie in the upcoming materials to something amusing in our program.
  • Videos needed to be created with minimal effort, then compressed and exported to the web.
  • The size of each video needed to be approx. 5-10mb.

Features:

  • Used in-house and stock footage to compile quick segments.

Videos:

Language

Have you ever noticed how you tune out during a conversation when things become overly technical? Dr. Joseph Kim certainly does.

Problem Solving & Intelligence

"Stay in School" - why Miss Carolina's response to why American's cannot find the United States on a map is like a horrifying train wreck.

Motivation: Hunger

Our graphic designer, Alan, loves a challenge. He once consumed 52 chicken wings in a single sitting - because somebody asked if he could.

Vision

Once a student asked Dr. Kim if he slept in his office overnight so he could release the lectures right at 6:00am on Thursdays. Here's the proof. Well... sorta.

Form Perception

We actually have statistics to prove that IntroPsych students are online and waiting to receive their lectures when they go live at 6:00AM.

Here's a re-enactment of a lecture release party.
Special Note: lecture release parties may or may not actually exist)

Depth, Distance & Motion

Dr Joseph Kim helped shave one of his TA's heads in support for Smiles over Sickness.

The human eye is amazing.
